Our Intern Program is designed to provide an opportunity for students with a special interest in Fire and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) to receive training in fire suppression and hands on training in both fire and EMS.
Interns are treated equal to volunteers and are expected to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), District Policies and Administrative Procedures. Interns also have the same training opportunities that our in districts volunteers have.
We require our interns to participate in an entry level firefighter academy that we conduct twice a year. After a successful completion of the academy intern are required to:
- Dedicate a minimum of 32 hours a month on shift time.
