       Save A Life

        Become a Volunteer!

Lane Rural Fire/Rescue is a combined District of both career and volunteer Firefighter / EMTs that respond to all types of emergencies. Few jobs offer you the opportunity to save a life, but as a volunteer firefighter, you could be called upon to do so at a moment's notice.  The men and women who make up Lane Rural Fire/Rescue District share a common interest -- the desire to help others in need.  In 2007 we responded to over 2,500 emergencies and helped prevent many more.  To be a volunteer firefighter, you will need more than just a desire to help people. You will also need compassion and dedication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn new skills and face new challenges.                 Save your Neighbor, become a Volunteer!

For more information on becoming a volunteer, call our Headquarters (541) 688-1770, visit us at 29999 Hallett Street, Eugene OR 97402 (directions) , or email  cgoetsch@lrfr.org and read about our membership requirements!  Do you live outside our District, but want to volunteer?  Become an Intern Responder!  Firefighter/EMT Interns
